Guy Claxton is a psychologist and senior lecturer at King’s College, London. He is currently teaching at Schumacher College.

Guy Claxton received his D.Phil in Psychology from the University of Oxford and has developed, over the ensuing twenty years, an international reputation for his work on learning and the mind. His twelve previous books include ‘Wholly Human’ (1981), ‘Educating the Inquiring Mind’ (1991) and ‘Noises from the Darkroom: The Science and Mystery of the Mind’ (1994). He has contributed to journals and magazines ranging from the ‘Times Educational Supplement’ and ‘New Scientist’ to ‘Arena’. Guy is presently Visiting Professor of Psychology and Education at the University of Bristol.
